Get to know Kari

I spent my early childhood in Papua New Guinea, where I developed a love for different cultures and traditions—and I guess you could say that’s where the travel bug bit me!

After university in Tasmania, my sense of adventure took over. I headed to Queenstown, New Zealand, for two winters of snow and scenery, then swapped hemispheres for two more winters in beautiful (and brisk!) Scotland.

My career in travel kicked off in Aberdeen, helping students plan unforgettable gap year adventures. It was such a rewarding time – hearing their stories, helping them explore the world, and getting inspired in the process.

Eventually, my soon-to-be husband and I traded grey skies for sunshine, making the move from the UK to the Gold Coast. I kept helping others plan their dream getaways, and after my second child arrived, I found the perfect support role at Chirn Park Travel. It gave me the balance I needed while still staying connected to my passion.

Now, I’m lucky to be part of an amazing team that helps people uncover hidden gems, tick off bucket list experiences, or return to places close to their hearts. Being part of those journeys – even behind the scenes – is such a privilege!
